For the last three years, Baron Engraving has shown its support to the Cody Firearms Museum by creating highly collectible hand-engraved rifles that are auctioned off to generate financial support that directly benefits the museum.
This year, for the third edition of the Cody Firearms Museum Collectors Series, Baron Engraving teamed up with Henry Repeating Arms and Davidson’s Inc. to create a stunning engraved serial number one New Henry Original in 44-40 that will be auctioned on GunBroker Item #932921142.
Along with the rifle, the winner of the auction will receive a hand-tooled custom heavyweight leather scabbard that features flower and leaf accents that have been painstakingly embossed into the leather.
Additionally, the winner of this auction has the option of having the rifle displayed at the Museum for up to one year following the sale and being personally recognized during that time for the loan of the rifle.
Bidding will close on Flag Day, Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 10 PM Mountain Time. 
Please note that one hundred percent of the proceeds from this auction will benefit the Cody Firearms Museum and help ensure that future generations are provided an immersive opportunity to learn about the important role firearms have played in shaping human history and existence.
To ensure the highest quality craftsmanship Baron assigned this project to master hand engraver Robert Bunting who turned to the ornate work of 19th-century legendary engraver Louis Daniel Nimschke for inspiration.
Using the style of one of America’s most famous engravers, Bunting proceeded to adorn the brass receiver with full coverage of Nimschke’s signature style of American scroll combined with fine European detailing.
From there the receiver was brilliantly polished, silver-plated, fitted with complementing nitre-blued screws, and an exhibition grade American Walnut stock fitted with a hand-engraved silver-plated buttplate.
To complete this Henry Original rifle, it was fitted with a blued one-piece octagonal barrel and magazine, a classic folding ladder rear sight, and a blade front sight.
The Buffalo Bill Center of the West, located in the Cody and Yellowstone areas of Wyoming, is truly a must-see American destination. It houses five different museums, a research center as well as other special rotating exhibitions. A highlight of the center is the Cody Firearms Museum.
A mecca for firearms enthusiasts, the Cody Firearms Museum houses over 10,000 artifacts including more than 4,000 firearms, and is undoubtedly the most comprehensive firearms museum in the United States if not the world.
